Walkabout Dog Walks specialises in walking
dogs in Constantia and surrounding areas.
If you're like me, your dogs have become family members. I only want the best for mine and I'm sure you feel the same way. When you can't be home with them, whether because of work or other obligations, you still want them to have their daily walk. That's where we come in. We offer doggie walking and playtime whilst taking care of them with the same love and attention you give them. That's exactly what we do at Walkabout Dog Walks. Because we love dogs!
Walking Services Include:
- Energetic Walks - free range or on the lead depending on your dog's obedience and your preference
- Quiet
walks or park visits - specially designed for elderly or recuperating
dogs - not so much a walk as a stroll and sniff-a-thon.
- Pick up and drop off
- Each walk is 60 minutes excluding pick up and drop off time

- Initial consultation to meet your dog/s and discuss your preferences and my guidelines
The Importance of the Daily Walk
Daily exercise for your dog is more than just giving them a good time. It is a vital ingredient to a healthy and balanced dog. Even if you have a bigger property your dog still needs a change of environment and socialisation to keep them stimulated and avoid boredom.
A
dog that can run, play and behave like a dog is a happy dog. Just like us humans, your dog
requires physical and mental stimulation. If proper
exercise is provided on a daily basis, it will energize their body,
mind and spirit. Many dog's behavioural problems are the result of
isolation, boredom and insufficient exercise. Walkabout Dog Walks offer a
great service for your dog when you can't be around to exercise and
play.
Older Dogs Need Special CareIf you have an older dog, or perhaps a dog recuperating from an illness or operation we can accommodate them too with extra patience and care. We offer outings that are more about socialising, sniffing and a gentle stroll with their new friends. For the slightly more energetic there are always balls to chase, and of course the odd squirrel!
We Offer The Best Because We Love Happy Dogs
Each of our walks is 60 minutes (except by special arrangement), but we
are well aware of the need to take it easy on particularly hot days. In
that case we may not walk far, but play under the shade of trees. If
you allow your doggy a swim, then we do too. In fact we offer more than
just a walk, this is a doggy play time.
Because of the importance of socialising as well as daily exercise, we walk in groups. Therefore we only accept friendly well adjusted dogs who socialise well.
All female dogs over 6 months must be sterilised.
So...contact us today for more info or to book your friend's playtime. Please note that as we keep our groups smaller (for your dog's safety) there is limited space and although we try to offer you exactly the times and days you prefer, we can't always oblige.
